Du Page County Register [Roselle IL] October 13, 1913
Danville - Informed by doctors months ago that he had organic heart trouble 
and was liable to pass away at any time, William B. Sheffer, veteran coach 
carpenter of the C. & L. I. railway, visited with his children scattered over 
the central states and had just concluded a visit with his sons, Charles and 
Joseph in Chicago, returning here. He was stricken while preparing to retire 
for night and died within fifteen minutes.
