OBIT: ROSSVILLEAN DROPS DEAD Ida Armantrout Rossville – (CNS)-- Death came suddenly to Miss Ida Armantrout, 68, Saturday, Nov. 8, 1941, at :45 p.m. She died while refueling a kitchen fire in the presence of two visiting friends. Mrs. Ezra Smock and Mrs. Elizabeth Sharp. She resided alone. Born 6 ½ miles west of Rossville, Mar. 27, 1873. Miss Armantrout spent all of her life in this vicinity. Four nephews, Hiram Armantrout of Rossville Route 2; Henry of champaign; guy of Lansing, Illinois and William of Chicago are her closest surviving relatives. Time of the last rites will be made later. The body is at Erxleben Funeral Home. Interment in Rossville cemetery. Coroner John Cole was summoned and conducted an inquiry.
