OBIT: CALLED TO OHIO BY DEATH OF BROTHER; INTERMENT SATURDAY Mrs. Date Huffman was called to Antwerp, Ohio last Thursday by the death of her brother, Arie Shumaker, 57, who passed away at midnight Wednesday February 19th at the Mercy Hospital in Antwerp, where he was a patient three weeks. Death was attributed to heart trouble. Mr. Shumaker was born October, 18, 1884 near Alvin, Illinois, son of Robert and Gertrude Fortune shumaker. He left this community with his parents about 30 years ago and has since resided in Antweerp. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Huffman, Rossville and two brothers Guy Shumaker of West Unity Ohio and Ray Shumaker of Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral Services were held at the Schilb Funeral Home in Antwerp at 11:00 a.m. Friday. The body was brought overland to Rossville on Saturday for interment in the Rossville Cemetery Brief services were held at 1:00 p.m. o'clock with the Rev. E. A. Houldridge, pastor of the Methodist Church in charge. Pallbearers were Harold Shumaker, Eugene Shumaker, E. J. Hathaway, Glen Seymour, T. J. Reynolds and Glenn Shumaker of Alvin.
