OBIT: SERVICES WILL BE HELD FRIDAY FOR CHARLES LAMAR Charles La Mar, 57, died in a Kankakee hospital at 9:15 a.m. Monday March 7, 1938. He had been ill a year, heart trouble and complications causing his death. Charles Wesley La Mar was born March 29, 1880 in Gilman, Illinois , son of George and Eliza Snyder La Mar. He was married to Edith Mc Cool July 16, 1903 in Danville. Mr. La Mar was formerly employed with the C. & E. I. Railroad and has resided in Rossville the past six years. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Edith La Mar, and eight children, Herman of Chicago; Mrs. Ethel Bediner of Hammond Ind; Delbert of Lansing, Ill. Richard of San Diego, Ca.; Genevieve, Louise Vernon and Verlin at home and one brother, Jesse La Mar of Georgetown. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Elwood church near Georgetown. The Rev. Mrs. Minnie Hollingsworth will conduct the services.
