Obit: Emeline Pugh Danville Commercial News died 21 March 1929 Emeline Pugh Funeral service for Emeline Pugh, 77, who died in the home of her nephew Ira Jakway, 626 Bryan Ave. at noon Thursday were held Saturday Afternoon at 3:00 in the home of the nephew. The Rev. S. S. Jones of Catlin officiated. Interniment was in Springhill Cemetary. Funeral arrangements were in charge of J.B. Salladay. EMELINE PUGH RESIDENT HERE 55 YEARS , DIES March 21, 1929 Mrs. Emeline Pugh, 77, widow of William Pugh and a resident of Danville for 55 years died in the home of here nephew Ira Jakeway, 626 Bryan Avenue at noon thursday. She had been ill three years and in critical condition one week. Mrs. Pugh was born at Ottatwa Illinois in February 1852 a daughter of George and Amanda Jakeway. she was united in marriage to William Pugh, who died 23 years ago . An only child, Edward, died several years ago. Surviving her are three sisters, Miss Alice at home, Mrs. Eliza Smith and mrs. Mary Howell, both of Milford, Il. She had been a member of the Christian church for 40 years. Funeral arrangements are in charge of J.B.
