Ford, 72, of Danville, passed away at 9:32 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. She was born Oct. 8, 1932, in Danville, to the late Elmer and Ethel (Miller) Drake. Survivors include: one son, Ivan H. (Connie) Ford of Danville; two grandsons, Nick Ford and Rob Ford, both of Danville and four granddaughters; Liz Ford and Tammy Ford, both of Georgetown, Missy Ford of Houston, Texas, and Candy Ford of Richmond, Va.; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Trinkle and Rosemary (Mike) Baker, both of Danville; and a very special friend; Garnett Varvel of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Derald, four brothers, Carl, Harold, Richard, and Glen Drake, and three sisters, Elmaretta Tomlinson, Helen DeWitt, and Lorraine Jackson. Anna was a homemaker. She enjoyed growing flowers and her faithful dog Molly. Celebration of life for Anna L. Ford will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., with Gary Kins officiating. Burial will be at Mann's Chapel.
