OBIT:GARNET L MC DONALD ALVIN, ILL Garnet L Mc Donald, 76, of Alvin, died at 8:05 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 15, 1987) shortly after arrival at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She aws born May 7, 1911, in Danville, a daughter of Alvin and Mary A. Ervin Knee. Mrs. McDonald had lived in Alvin for the past 27 years. She had attended Danville schools and worked at Kresge's for several years. She loved to play euchre. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Lodge 448 in Hoopeston and the Fourth Church of Christ in Danville. She married Donald Gobel in Febuary, 1933. He died in March, 1954. She later married Harold J. Mc Donald on Jan. 3, 1960.He survives. Also surviving: a son Darrel Gobel of Brookland, Mich., a daughter, Mrs. Art (Georgia Ann) Butcher of Danville; three stepsons, Jim an Homer Mc Donald of West Point, Ind., and John Mc Donald of West Lafayette, Ind., five grandsons, 20 stepgrandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a infant sister. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Morrison Funeral Home in Bismarck; Burial: Walnut Corner Cemetery. Officiating: Kenneth Bostwick.
