OBIT: ROSSVILLE BUILDING LOAD DIRECTOR, FORMER CONTRACTOR CLAIMED BY DEATH AT AGE 80 James William Barcus Rossville (cns)-- Director of Rossville Building Load and former building contractor, James William Barcus, 80 died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1942 at his home of a heart attack. Son of John and Mary Hoagland Barcus he was born Oct. 18, 1861. He was married Nov. 27, 1888, to Miss Mary Trusheim who survives. He was a lifelong resident of Rossville and a member of the Methodist Church here. Surviving in addition to his wife and three children, George Benjamin Barcus of Rossville, Mrs. Adaline Bennett of Hooopeston and Lawerence Barcus of Waukegan, Ill; Two brothers, George in North Dakota and Charles of Urbana; two sisters Mrs. Lilly thomas of Washington D. C. and Mrs. Berta Huffman of Grape Creek Ill; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
