obit: COVINGTON MAN LAID TO REST IN MILLER CEMETERY Jess D. Landsdown, 67, resident of near Covington, Ind. died in the Lake View hospital Danville at 5:00 p.m. Friday April 15, 1938, after a short illness. He was born in Jamestown, Ind. May 7, 1870, son of William and Martha Landsdown. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Louise Landsdown, three sons, Frank and Russell of Warren County and paul of Hammond Ind. One daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Clapp, St Louis,Mo. Two sisters, Lydia Landsdown of Rossville, and Mrs. Jennie Bullah of Iowa; two brothers , Mort of Rossville, and Lewis of South Dakota Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Benson Chapel west of Covington. The Rev. Mollie Marie Hoot officiated.
