OBIT: J. W. WHITE BURIED HERE SUNDAY John Wesley White, 64, former Rossville resident died at 4:00 a.m. Friday April 15, 1938 at the St. Elizabeth hospital in Danville where he had been seriously ill a week. Mr. White was born in Gifford, Illinois son of Lucy Welles and Syrus C. White. He was well known in the vicinity, and was accountant with the local Y. M. C. A. during his residence in Rossville. At the time of his death he was accountant with the Y. W. C. A. in Gary Ind. He was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are the widow, Lou Galyen White; two brothers, Hazen of Danville and Frank of Royal Center, Ind. Four sisters, Mrs. Dora Paulson and Mrs. Clara Mason of Rossville. Mrs. Olive Dodson of Crawfordsville, Ind. and Mrs. Sarah McConnell of Danville. Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist church in Rossville.
