OBIT: LAST RITES FOR MORRIS JONES HELD SUNDAY Morris Jones, 43, well known farmer residing west of Rossville, died at the family residence at 5:30 a.m. Friday April 28, 1939. He had been ill ten days with pneumonia. Mr. Jones had spent his entire life in the vicinity of Rossville and Hoopeston. He was born in Rossville September 13, 1895, son of Edward and Emma Morris Jones. On October 10, 1914 he was married to Ruth Hall of Potomac, the ceremony occurring in Danville. Surviving are his wife and eight children, all at home. They are George, Morris, Adeline, Emma, Charles, Robert, Edward and Mary. A daughter preceded him in death 3 years ago. Mr. Jones was a member of the Modern Woodmen Lodge of Rossville. Funeral services were held at the residence at 2:30 p.m. Sunday Rev. A. H. Flagge, pastor of the Rossville Methodist church officiating. Pallbearers were: Wayne Pruitt, Emory Dubea, Charles Moore, J. T. David, Harold Peterson and Charles Kentner. Flowers were in charge of Viola Morgason, Helen Pasley, Edna Terrell, Glenna Ruth Kentner, June Kentner, Helen Scott, Helen, Mary and Edith Tuggle and Peggy Pasley.
