Obit: McDonald Russell Alvin---Minnie McDonald Russell, 87, of Chicago, died at 8 AM Monday (Nov. 7, 1994) in chicago. she was born Dec. 8, 1906 in Alvin Il. the daughter of Harry Roy and Emma Smith mcDonald. She graduated from Alvin High School, Mrs. Russell had given violin and piano lessons for several years in the Alvin Area. She was a member of the Clearing Methodist Church, Order of Easter Star, Order of White Shrine, Amaranth Lodge and was organist and pianist for the lodges for several years. She was married to Leslie James Russell, who died July 21, 1989. She is survived by a son, Herbert Russell of Tennley park Il. A daughter, Ellen Joyce(Joe) Riddle of Chicago; three sisters Elsi Allen of Linden In. Nellie Mae(Lester) Woodard of Hooopeston and Betty Lou Meeker of rural Williamsport In. Two brothers,Harold J. (Beulah) McDonald of Danville and Dale (Kitty) McDonald of Fayetteville, NC and three grandchildren. preceded also by one brother. Vistation will be Friday from 5-8 PM at Morrison Funeral Home in Bismarck.
