Obit: NICHOLAS J. JAMESON Nicholas J. Jameson, 72, a resident of Danville, died at 7:55 a. m. Sunday (Dec. 16, 1990) at United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus. He was born Jan. 15, 1918, in Danville, the son of James and Iva Lappin Jameson. He was married to Dottie Staley on June 29, 1957, in Taylorville Ill. She survives. He is also survived by his children;, Jim Jameson, Karen and Junior Reese and Patty Eldridge, all of the Danville area; a brother, Bill Jameson of Danville; two sisters, Mary Phillips of Danville and Helen Kobosky of Decatur. Also surviving: eight grandchildren, Julie Mc Masters, Janice Brown, Mike Jameson, Dennis, Chad and Tammy Powell, and Kevin and Kim Reese; four great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Ron Jameson, his parents and a sister Dorothy. Nicholas worked on C&EI and N&W Wabash Railroads where he retired after 37 years in December, 1978. He also owned Jameson Welding Shop. He was a member of Wabash Railroaders Union. He attended the Second Church of Christ in Danville. He enjoyed welding, camping, fishing,m his dog, Sam, and especially enjoyed his many friends. He also was an avid Cardinals fan.
