OBIT: DEATH CLAIMS ALVIN WOMAN Mrs. Savilla Crandall Alvin(cns) Following an extended illness from cancer and complications., Mrs. Savilla Crandall , 72, died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1942 at Lake View Hospital at Danville where she had entered Saturday. Daughter of Samuel and Ellen Mack, she was born Mar. 18, 1869, in Pennsylvania. She later moved to Illinois with her family who settled in this community. Surviving are eight children, Earl Crandall of Colorado, George Crandall of Nevada, Mrs. Mary Hamton of Bloomington , Ind. Mrs. Myrtle Burris, Charles Bainbridge and Russell Bainbridge of Danville, and Mrs. Theda Bray and ira Crandall of Alvin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton and a daughter. The body was removed to Lanham Funeral Home at Henning.
