Tomlinson, 75, of Danville, died at 5:25 p.m. Friday, February 23, 1990 at his home in Danville. He was born Jan. 1, 1915 in Rossville, the son of Charles and Cecillia M. Brown Tomlinson. He married Elmeretta Drake March 7, 1936 in Danville. She died Sept. 11, 1968. He then married Nina Sapp-Tomlinson on March 8, 1075 in Hartsville, Tenn. She survives. Also surviving are five sons; Gene (Virginia) Tomlinson, of Potomac, John (Judy) Tomlinson, of Danville, Michael (Penny) Tomlinson of Chillicothe, Ohio, James (Sandy) Tomlinson, of Danville and Scott (Tamela) Tomlinson of Danville; Three daughters, Nancy (Zane) Vaglica, of Ollivette, Ill., Kathy (Raymond) Coon, and Christina Dieu, Both of Danville, one brother, Charles Tomlinson, of Danville, 15 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one niece. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1001 and Teamsters Union Local 26. He worked for Material and Fuel for 25 years, retiring in 1980. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and wood working. Hw was an avid Cubs fan. Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel. Officiating Chaplain Lewis Root. Interment at Mann's Chapel Cemetery Rossville. Visitation two hours prior to service at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Danville Rescue Mission.
