It had been raining that morning and the tipple was wet. The deceased took a piece of timber to use as a lever to lift the car on the track; it suddenly slipped and he fell off the tipple., a distance of eighteen feet; when he was found, his back was broken. He was taken home, where he died on July 31. The grade rail at the place where he fell off had been broken for some time previous to the accident. He left a widow and six children.
