   THE BAND is made up of twenty-eight high school and grade school pupils. The
instrumentation has been fairly well balanced and Mr. Handley, the director,
hopes to develop it further in the near future. The band took part in the
district contest of the Illinois State High School Band Association, entering as
a Class D band and placing in the second division. It also took part in the
Spring Concert and will continue this summer with weekly evening concerts
sponsored by the school board and business men of Potomac. From left to right,
they are as follows:

Top row (standing)-Robert Barstead, Junior Morrison, Stuart Miller, Fauntella
Stucker, Dwain Duncan, Helen Ruth Stone, Mr. Handley, Wilbur Cannon, James
Irvin, Jesse Robert Stone, Delbert Remole.
Middle Row-Charles Remole, Evelyn Emmerson, Lewis Duncan, Miller Ennis,
Elizabeth Lowe, Robert Jeakins, Gordon Rice, Lorraine Wise, Jimmy Saunders.
Bottom Row-Virginia Moreland, Martha Lois Stahl, Maxine Anderson, Evelyn
Saunders, Kathryn Ogle, Weldon Sheets, Norma Perry, Tyrus Franklin.
