TRACK

   When Coach Alexander issued the first call for track candidates, this spring,
thirty promising athletes reported for practice. Three lettermen are available
this year: Joe Bressler for the shot put, discus and javelin throw; Ross Coil
for the mile run; and Dale Jameson for the high jump. In the Class C school
meet, in which P.H.S. took third last year, they were defeated by a small
margin. They took fourth place in the County Track meet and in the District meet
two were qualified for the State Meet, George Ruff in the high jump, and Ross
Coil in the mile run, but both failed to place in this meet. Left to right, they
are as follows:

Top Row-Roy Weller, Alois Clementz, Barton Reynolds. Mr. Alexander, Floyd Coil,
Waldo Emmerson. Bottom 
Row-Edward Plotner, Orville Bonebrake, Dale Jameson, Joe Bressler, Ross Coil.
