ROSSVILLE COUPLE IS MARRIED; BRIDEGROOM IS RADIO OPERATOR IN AIR CORPS AT CHANUTE FIELD Rossville--A pretty home wedding was performed by the Rev. J. P. Givens of Hoopeston, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCormick, when their daughter, Marjorie, became the bride of Everette Cornell, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Cornell of Rossville, at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov.. 22, 1941. Single ring ceremony was read before an altar of chrysanthemums and potted plants. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Attendants were Helen Yeoman and Andrew McCormick, brother of the bride. The bride wore a street-length dress of poudre blue suede with beige accessories. She carried an arm bouquet of chrysanthemums and snapdragons. Her attendant wore a beige street-length dress with black accessories and her corsage was of pink carnations and snapdragons. Besides the immediate families of the bride and bridegroom, Mrs. Alma Prillaman, Mrs. and mrs. Don Prillaman and Willard Coon were special guests. The bride attended Rossville High School. The bridegroom graduated from Rossville High School in 1939 and is now a radio operator with the Air Corps at Chanute Field. Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served, a huge wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom, formed the center- piece.
