Marriage: GRAND DAUGHTER OF BERT SMITHS MARRIED AT COLO. SPRINGS Miss Helen Louise Brobeck, daughter of Dr. Von H. Brobeck , 14 Lake Avenue, Broadmoor Colorado Springs, Colorado and Gordon Graham Gallup, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Gallup of Denver Colorado were married at 11:00 o'clock Saturday morning February 11, 1939 at the home of the bride. Rev. Frederick Udlock, pastor of the Clayton Presbyterian church of Denver performed the ceremony in the presence of about 50 guests. The vows were exchanged before an altar on the sun porch, which was decorated with yellow jonquils and blue iris. Candles in tall candelabra were placed at each side and sprays of pussy willows gave a spring like touch. The bride wore a white satin gown made on classic lines. The cowl neckline was caught with clips of pearl, the bodice tight fitting and sleeves long. The veil of tulle was caught in halo of seed pearls and fell in graduated length over the satin train of the dress. She carried a gardenia spray combined with lilies of the valley. Mrs. William Baker , who was the brides only attendant wore a gown of poudre blue net with a jacket of lace and picture hat of blue. Her flowers were yellow roses. Duane Osborn, pianist, played the bridal chorus from "Lohengrin" for the processional and the Mendelsohn wedding march for the reces- sional. A wedding breakfast was served after the ceremony. A large tiered wedding cake topped with minature bride and bridegroom for med and center piece of the brides table. Mr. and Mrs. Gallup left on a wedding trip to Tas, N. Mexico. They will live in Denver. For her traveling suit the bride wore a black crepe dress and scarlet hat and wimple, and a jacket of skunk fur. Mrs. Gallup is a graduate of Ferry Hall School, Lake Forest, Illinois. She attended Colorado College and is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Mr Gallup attended Rochester school of music and Colorado college where he was graduated in 1938. He is now associated with his father in the real estate business.
