MARRIAGE: MARRIAGE VOWS READ SUNDAY Before an improvised altar of red roses and fern, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Youngblood of the Antioch neighborhood was the scene Sunday afternoon of the marriage of their daughter Elva Leona To Alvan D. Gilbert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Gilbert, Rossville. The single ring service was read at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Paul D. Magnuson, pastor of the Church of Christ, in the presence of members of the immediate families. The bride wore an ankle length white taffeta dress and a finger tip veil. She carried a bouquet of white sweet peas. She was attended by her sister, Margaret as Maid of honor, who wore an ankle length sheer peach dress and carried pink sweet peas. The bridge groom had as his attendant, Floyd Youngblood, brother of the bride. Mrs Gilbert was graduated from Rossville high school and the Christian hospital Training school for nurses in St. Louis, Missouri. She has had a position with the Decatur Macon County Hospital, Decatur until recently. Mr. Gilbert was graduated from Rossville high school and has been employed in Rossville the past several years.
