MARRIAGE McCONNELL CONN In a pretty home wedding Saturday May 32, 1941 in Forest Park, Illinois . Miss Grace Conn, daughter of Mrs. Julia Conn formerly of Villa Grove, became the bride of Freeman McConnell son of Mrs. Alma McConnel of Henning. The single ring ceremony was read by the Rev. Paul Allen, pastor of the Judson Baptist Church of Oak Park. Attendants were Miss Ross Conn of Danville, sister of the bride and Gilbert Taylor of Indianapolis, Ind. Miss Janet Copehart , Chicago, was the pianist. The bride wore a triple sheer white crepe dress with a finger tip tulle veil attached by a wreath of orange blossoms and carried an arm bouquet of white roses. Her brides maid wore a poudre blue crepe dress and carried a bouquet of mixed garden flowers. A reception was held at the home of the bride's mother immediately following the ceremony. Mrs. McConnell was graduated from Villa Grove high School in 1932 and entered Missouri Baptist School of Nursing at St. Louis. She was with the Barnes Memorial Hospital there until she received a civil Service appointment at Hines Hospital, Hines Illinois, four years ago. Mr. McConnelll was graduated from the Henning high school in 1931 and received his Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign. He is a member of the faculty in the English Department of the Rossville high school.
