Die Eltern, Hans Bernhard Kuntzer und Anna Catharina Seubert (Seibert), lebten zu diesem Zeitpunkt vermutlich in dem benachbarten Hirstein. Johann Nickel Kuntzer lebte als Hufschmied in Tulpehocken, Berks County, PA. Er heiratete am 3. 1. 1742 in I. Ehe Anna Catharina Hoster, in er in Tulpehocken und wurde bei der Host Kirche begraben.
