Jones, their two children and their grand-daughter will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Nethodist chuch in Monmouth. Dr. T. E. Newland of Galesburg, a retired Methodist minister and former district superintendent will be in charge of the services in the absence of the Rev. Harry A. Cochran, pastor, now on the west. Burial will be in Monmouth cemetery. The bodies of the five members were returned to the Lugg Memoorial Chapel last evening, after an inquest had been held during the afternoon in Menard county of which Petersburg is the county seat. The bodies of Mr. & Mrs. Jones had been taken to Athens and those of the three children to Petersburg, following the airplane accident yesterday morning which brought death to the group. Killed were Mr. & Mrs. Jones, both 53; Ivan Jones 18; Elizabeth Jones 14; and Judy Rose Ricketts, 9. They had left Monmouth yesterday for the Illinois State Fair and encountered fog near Sweetwater, where the plane crashed and burned, Russell F. Jones was born at Kirkwood February 24, 1897, the son of Parker S. and Sarah (Martin) Jones. Of his own family there survive a brother Leo Jones of Kirkwood, and a sister Mrs. Lucille Smilie, wife of Kline Smilie of Rt. 3, Athens Ohio. edna K. Jones was born in Henderson county, March 7, 1897, the daughter of Clyde E. and Elizabeth (Smith) Duke.Of her own family there survive a brother Earl Duke of Galesburg and two sisters, Mrs. Marion Duke Lofgren, wife of Glaine Lofgren of Galesburg; and Mrs. Nella Duke Campbell, wife of Dwight Campbell of the Rozetta community. Ivann C. Jones was born October 15, 1931 and had graduated in 1949 from Biggsville high school. Elizabeth D. Jones, 14, was born April 9, 1936; and grand-daughter Judy Rose Ricketts, 8, daughter of Charles E. and Marilyn Jones Ricketts, was born at Monmouth, April 24, 1942. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marion Norwood of Durham, N. C., the former Jean Jones, and Mrs. Marilyn Ricketts of Chicago.
