The music was by a male quartet, Ray Ward, Clarence Thomas, Edward Steinberg, and H L Meeker, accompanied by the organist, Mrs. Harry B Popejoy. Mr. Putnam passed away Tuesday, 19 May, 1953 morning of last week at a nursing home in Pontiac. Pallbearers were; Charles Elliot Jr., Glen Abbey, Harold Huston, Ralph Brucker, Everett McCullough, and Everett Barnes. Honorary pallbearers were; J H Unzicker, Glen Antrim, Henry Carstens, J W McCullough, Fred Elliott, and Charles Elliott Sr. Mr. Putnam was 95 at the time of his death. He was born in Bell Prairie Township, South of Fairbury, Illinois, a son of Aaron and Sarah [Tinney] Putnam. He married Catherine Schilling October 5, 1882. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William Hopper, Graymont, a sister, Mrs. Josephine Clawson, Tipp City, Ohio, who is 98 years of age; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 9 great, great grandchildren. His wife and two daughters preceded him in death.
