Kentucky Detached Militia Henderson Co KY mustered in Sept 1, 1812 and served till Dec 23, 1812 State of Illinois County of Wayne ON this 30th day of March AD one thousand eight hundred and fifty five personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in this and for the county and State aforesaid Alexander Nisbet aged 62 years a resident of Wayne County in the State of Illinois who being duly sworn according colors, declares that he is the identical Alexander Nisbet who was a private in the company commanded by Captain Thomas Stokes in the regiment of Kentucky Militia Commanded by Col Barber in the war with Great Britain declared by the United States June 18, 1812 for the term of six months and continued in actual service in said war for fourteen days, that he has heretofore made application for bounty land under the act of September 28, 1850 and received a land warrant NO _____ for 40 acres which he has since legally disposed of and cannot now return. He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the additional bounty land to which he may be entitled under the act approved the 3rd day of March 1855. He also declares that he has never applied for nor received under this or any other act of Congress any bounty land warrant except the one above mentioned. Signed Alexander Nisbet
