All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: © Deborah Parks ==================================================================== Hopkins County Kentucky Deed Book 11 Pages 310-311 This indenture made and entered into between James Nisbet Sr. of the County of Hopkins and State of Kentucky of the one part and Alexander Nisbet of the County of Wayne and State of Illinois and James Nisbet Jr. of the County of Hopkins and Stat of Kentucky aforesaid witnessed that the said James Nisbet Sr. for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he has and bears to the said Alexander Nisbet and James Nisbet Jr., his sons, and for the further consideration of the sum of five dollars to give in hand paid by the said Alexander Nisbet and James Nisbet Jr. the receipt of which is thereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Alexander and James Nisbet Jr. their heirs and forever a certain tract or parcel O of land lying and being in the said County of Hopkins being the same conveyed by John Spear survey to the said James Nisbet Jr. containing one hundred acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows towit. Beginning at the southeast corner of Samuel B. Nisbets land at an elm and _____ distance two hundred and fifty two poles from the south west corner of a survey of 1000 acres (of which the land hereby conveyed is apart) spanning thence north fifteen degrees east with said Samuel B. Nisbets line one hundred and twenty seven poles to a white oak tree and dogwood thence south 75 degrees east one hundred and twenty seven poles to a black oak and hickory thence south fifteen degrees west one hundred and twenty seven poles to a sugar tree and dogwood in the original land of the survey and thence with said original land, north seventy five degrees west one hundred and twenty seven poles to the beginning with its appurtenances. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land unto the said Alexander Nisbet and James Nisbet Jr. their heirs and forever to them only hereafter use behoof. And the said James Nisbet Sr. for himself the said tract or parcel of land unto the said Alexander Nisbet and James Nisbet Jr. their heirs and against the claim or claims of all and every person and persons whatever will warrant and forever by the presents. The testimony whereof the said James Nisbet Sr. hath hereunto subscribed has named and affixed his seal the 21st day of October 1844.
