Marriage Announcement - Leo BORAH & Norma TICE, Wayne County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Whitney Proffitt Newspaper: Unknown (Wayne Co., IL), Date: unknown MARRIAGE ---------- BORAH-TICE Mr. Leo Borah, son of Mrs. Flora Borah, and Miss Norma Tice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curt Tice, were married in Henderson, Ky., August 24th. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Lyman Smith Allen in the Immanuel Baptist Temple. They were attended by Cecil Tice, brother of the bride, and Miss Mildred Cox, of Fairfield and Miss Ruth Borah, sister of the groom. Mrs. Borah wore a street length blue crepe dress with black accesssories and a corsage of white rosebuds. Miss Cox wore a blue street length dress and Miss Borah wore a gray street length dress. Both had corsages of red rosebuds. Mr. Borah wore a blue pinstripe suit with a white carnation boutonniere. Mrs. Borah graduated from the Fairfield high school with the class of 1944 and later attended the Berry Jones beauty school at Mt. Vernon. Mr. Borah served in the army with 20 months overseas. A reception was held at the home of the bride Sunday afternoon at 6 o'clock for the immediate relatives and friends. They will make their home in Fairfield, where both the bride and the groom are employed at the Chefford Mfg.
