Obituary of Chester Miller (2 of 2), Wayne Co., IL Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Whitney R Profitt CHESTER MILLER Armstrong (Special) Chester Miller, 70, Armstrong, was found dead at his home Thursday morning. He had been in poor health for some time. He lived alone. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Armstrong Methodist Church, the Rev. Henry Foss officiating. Burial will be in Partlow Cemetery, Armstrong. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Lanham Funeral Home, Potomac. Masonic rites will be conducted at 8 p.m. Mr. Miller was born Sept. 25, 1897, in Fairfield, the son of David and Mary Miller. He was married in 1919 to Geneva Wolf who died in March, 1965. He leaves his mother of Armstrong, four sisters, Mrs. Dora Sanders, Mrs. Goldie Wilson and Mrs. Thelma Meitzler, all of Armstrong, and Mrs. Rosezella Cook of Los Gatos, Calif. Mr. Miller had lived in Armstrong for 37 years and had been employed by the Illinois Department of Highways until his retirement.
