MCDANNEL, 76, of Geff, who was the head cook at the Geff Grade School, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Meadowwood Nursing Home in Grayville. Mrs. MCDANNEL, the widow of Walter MCDANNEL, had been in failing health, suffering from a heart condition and other complications. She's been in the Grayville nursing home since Jan. 4. Services Tuesday Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with Rev. Fred White and Bro. John Heston officiating. Burial will be in the Bestow Cemetery at Geff. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday (tonight). Mrs. MCDANNEL was born at Geff Feb 18, 1902, the daughter of Hiram and Mahala (GALLAWAY) MILLER. She was married to Walter MCDANNEL Nov. 30, 1922. He died Sept. 23, 1952. She was a housewife but she worked eight years as the head cook at Geff Grade School. She was a member of the Geff United Methodist Church. The Survivors Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Mary) CARTER, of Geff; one son, Tom MCDANNEL, of Geff; three sisters, Mrs. Mary MATTHEWS and Mrs. Robert (Lindal) HARGIS, both of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Elsie MATTHEWS, of Luling, Tex.; one brother, Walter MILLER, of Detroit; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
