He resided in North Carolina and served probably in both North and South Carolina. From age and loss of memory, she is unable to state many of the particulars as to the length of his services or the officers under whom he served. He may have served before her marriage with him, and she knows that he served considerably after her marriage. He was at the siege of Charleston and the defeat at Monk’s Corner. His captains were Bethel and Raiford.” “She further declares that she was married to the said Robert Harris on the __ day of 1779 by a minister named Thomas Mullins, by being published and in Guilford County, NC. That she has no record evidence of her marriage and that her husband, the aforesaid Robert Harris died on the 9th day of June, 1806 and that she has remained a widow ever since that time.” Additional Comments: Included in this pension application is a photocopy of the page from the bible of the family birth records.
