He had been a patient at the Ferrell Hospital last Saturday; prior to that time he had received treatment at the Herrin and Murphysboro hospitals. He was born in Butler County, Kentucky on March 13, 1875, the son of John and Sue SANDERS, who were residents of Kentucky. He has lived in Emma for the past 19 years, and in White County for the past 30 years, having come from Kentucky to Garnerville, Illinois in about 1924. He was a member of the Woodbury Missionary Baptist Church in Butler County, Ky. He is survived by his wife, Lillie, of Emma; six sons, Ras and John Henry of Epworth Community; Frank and Tom of Carmi, and James and Clyde of Emma; three daughters, Mrs. Luther Wallace of Benton, Ill.; Mrs. Robert Browning of Emma, and Mrs. Beulah Frymire of Maunie; one brother, Uriah H. Sanders, of Louisville, Ky.; forty-five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Concord Methodist Church with the Rev. Dannie F. Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Concord Church Cemetery.
