Funeral services will be on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Russo of St. Mary's Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetary. Friends may call at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday. Ray Engleking was born on July 20, 1913 in Savanna, the son of Frank P. and Louise Siewert Engleking. On Sept. 14, 1935 he was united in marriage to the former Ida DePasquale at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sterling. They lived most of their married life in the rural Albany area where he worked in construction and was a commercial fisherman for many years until his retirement and returned to Rock Falls in 1972. He was a past Scout Master and past Scout Committeeman; and past Democratic Precinct Committeeman. Surviving are his wife, Ida; one son, Allen, Fort Washington, Md.; one daughter, Sylvia Pairadee, Sterling; four grandchildren; two brothers, Frank, Aurora and Harry, Savanna. Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters.
