S. G. BLAKELY, editor and proprietor of the Plainfield Enterprise, was born in 
Morristown, Vt., May 9, 1868. He married Miss Linnwood Bartholomew, at 
Reading, Mich., September 25, 1887. In company with R. A. Marvin he 
established the Enterprise August 10, 1887, and in 1888 bought his partner's 
interest. He is a Republican in politics and is a member of the Masonic and 
Modern Woodmen fraternities.
