Chicago Inter-Ocean, Sept 1875 September 1875
Joliet, Ill., Sept 23

Andrew Wheeler, formerly Chief of Police and Fire Marshal of Joliet, who died 
in California on the 11th inst., was buried from the Episcopal Church here 
this afternoon with Masonic honors. The police force, cornet band, Masons, Odd 
Fellows, and firemen joined in the procession and escorted the remains to the 
cemetery.
