Mr. E. W. Phelps, who lost three fingers in a machine at the boot and shoe factory of M. Selz & Co. (Prison), died suddenly on Sunday of tetanus, and was burned at Oakwood this morning by the Masonic fraternity. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. James McLeod, of the Eighteenth Presbyterian Church.
