Special Telegram to the Inter-Ocean

Joliet, Ill., Feb. 11.

W. A. Strong, Sr., a retired hardware merchant, and a resident of this city 
for over thirty years, died this morning. He has been an invalid for two or 
three years past, and although not entirely unexpected his death was quite 
sudden. He was an uncle of Mrs. W. S. Brooks, and of W. A. Strong, Jr., and in 
the early history of Joliet was one of the best-known business men of the 
county.
