The body was recovered. Prof. Russell was a native of New York state. He came to Joliet in 1864 and started the first business college in the city. About three months ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis, which left him almost helpless. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Charles Russell of Chicago, and a son, Horace, of this city.
