Grand Forks [SD] Herald August 10, 1918
Chicago, August 9.--Roy Meyers, a steeple jack, called the "human fly", 
because of his exploits in climbing hazardous prominences, was killed today 
when he fell from the cupola of Joliet court house at Joliet, Ill., while 
performing in aid of the Red Cross campaign.

Meyers will be remembered particularly for scaling the Flat Iron building in 
New York. He is survived by a widow and one child.
