Suicide

Special Telegram to The Inter Ocean

Joliet, Ill., April 2 - Colonel Harry Runge, a former attache of the Lockport 
Phoenix, committed suicide last night at the Auburn House in this city by 
taking laudanum. Colonel Runge was a man well known throughout Michigan and 
Wisconsin as a journalist, but of late had become quite dissipated and died a 
slave to strong drink.
