Mrs. Vicich is declared by the officials to be a sufferer from trachoma, a disease of the eye, which has prohibited thousands from entering this country. Word that she was deported and was on her way back to Europe was received by John Vicich, the woman's husband. Months ago Mrs. Vicich became a victim of a disease that threatened to rob her of her eyesight. That she might be placed under the care of foreign eye specialists she started for Clamerg, Austria. The treatment was unavailing and then Mrs. Vicich cabled to her husband that she was about to start for home. Mrs. Vicich reached quarantine on the Amerika, but the emigration officials refused to allow her to enter the country because of the eye disease. Vicich probably will dispose of his Joliet property holdings and move back to Austria to join his wife.
