Gerald J. Bisping, 84, of Peotone, died April 2, 2009 at Manteno Springs 
Assisted Living Center.

Survived by daughter, Linda (James) Morgan
Son, Daniel (Diane) Bisping, all of Peotone; 
3 granddaughters: Mindy (Scott) Kinner of Joliet;
Tracy (Derek) Allen of Diamond;
Ann (Michael) Smith of Bourbonnais; 
4 great-grandsons, Andrew Allen, Nicolas Balhan, Connor Allen, and Ethan Smith; 
Special friend, Ferne Cann.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. Bisping (married November 27, 1946; 
Youngest son, Thomas A. Bisping; 
Parents, Arthur and Vera (Friedrichs) Bisping.

Grew up in Peotone. 
Graduated from Peotone High School in 942.
Enlisted with the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. 
Deputy sheriff for the Will County Sheriff's office.
Licensed electrician working as an appliance repairman for Daum Appliance for 
30 years. 
Owned and operated Jerry's Repair until his retirement. 
Served a term as justice of the peace in Peotone.
Peotone Township official for 42 years. 
Member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Peotone.
Active member of the Holy Name Society of the church. 
Past commander and member for more than 60 years of the Peotone American Legion 
Post 392.

Visitation 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 5 at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral 
Home, Peotone. 
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 6 at St. Paul the 
Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone, with Father Denis White officiating. 
Interment will be in Peotone Cemetery. 
Memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church or to the Peotone 
American Legion Post 392. 
Pallbearers: Scott Kinner, Derek Allen, Michael Smith, Jack Pierce, Milan 
Schroeder and Jerome Wicker.
