Vernice I. Boughton, 78, of Peotone, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at her 
daughter's home in Logansport, Indiana. 
Visitation 9 a.m. Saturday until noon funeral service - Fedde-Helfrich-Cross 
Funeral Home in Peotone. The Rev. Timothy Mitchell will officiate. 
Interment Peotone Cemetery. Memorials to the family wishes. 

Retired custodian from the Peotone Elementary School. 
Born May 13, 1931, in Peotone;
Parents were Herbert and Edna Rosenbrock Buck. 
Husband, Robert N. Boughton, whom she married September 10, 1950, in Peotone, 
died June 20, 2000. 
Member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone;
Enjoyed sewing and caring for others. 

Surviving are 4 children:
Bruce Boughton of Peotone;
Marisa (Bill) Nosie of Logansport, Indiana;
Celeste (Craig) Ostrowski of Beecher;
Melissa (Manny) Alfaro of Manteno; 
10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. 

1 daughter, Darice Elwell (1999); and an infant son are deceased.
