Marie L. Christensen, 72, of Peotone, died August 15, 2007 at Riverside Medical 
Center, Kankakee, Illinois.

Visitation 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Fedde-Helfrich Chapel in Peotone.
Services 11 a.m. Monday, Fedde-Helfrich Chapel in Peotone.
Rev. Bruce Salter will officiate.
Cremation rites accorded. 
Memorials: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; or 
           St. John's United Church of Christ, North Peotone, where she was a 
member.

She was a retired children's librarian at Peotone Public Library, an avid 
reader and fondly known as "Miss Marie"; 
former special education bus driver;
secretary at Christensen Power Equipment. 
Member of Peotone Women's Club

Born September 10, 1933, in Dwight.
Daughter of Lawrence and Gertrude Armstrong Sovad. 
Surviving:  Husband, John "Jack" Christensen of Peotone, whom she married 
November 1, 1953, in Dwight; 
2 sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Debora Christensen, Gerard and Sandi 
Christensen, all of Manteno; 
1 daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Richard Haydysch of Hudson, Wisconsin; 
and 7 grandchildren.
