Demmond - We learn from the Herkimer Democrat that Martin H. Demmond, formerly a resident of Frankfort, in that County, died very suddenly of Cholera, at Joliet, Ill., on the 18th ult., aged 50 years. Mr. D. quite a number of years ago carried on the mercantile business in Frankfort, and some twenty years ago removed to the west. He was one of the first settlers of Joliet, and owned at one time the whole land on which West Joliet now stands. Mr. D. has many friends and relatives still residing in this vicinity. He was a brother-in-law of Geo. Folts, Esq., of Frankfort, and Dr. Hudlong.
