From the Joliet Daily News - April 13, 1897 - BRACEVILLE - Mrs. Coskey, who died Tuesday, April 6, 1897, was formerly Miss Louisa Noakes. She was born in Sussex, England, January 16, 1828, where she resided with her parents until 1831, when they came to America and made their home at Syracuse, New York. In 1844 they came West and lived at Lockport, Illinois where she formed the acquaintance of John C. Coskey and became his wife. They moved to Braceville in 1882 and have resided here ever since. She was a woman of strong faith and a most patient sufferer. She was not connected with any of the churches here but in her earlier life she was a member of the United Brethren church in the city of Joliet.
