The stabbing occurred shortly after 6 o'clock at Chicago street and Waller avenue and witnessed by many persons on the way to their homes. Jealousy, according to the police, was the cause of the stabbing. Taylor was in company with Anna Gilwater, who, the police say, was a rival of Miss Gibson. Taylor, it is said, had for some time been paying attention to Miss Gibson, but recently neglected her. All are negroes.
