Cook County Herald [Arlington Heights IL] September 24, 1920
Marion.-According to the assessment records of Williamson county there is one 
township that has several thousand inhabitants without a single watch, clock 
or sewing machine, but that township which includes portions of Johnston City, 
White Ash and Pittsburgh, is long on amusement. This township, which keeps 
time by a sundial, has 174 pianos and 61 organs.
