Obituary of Anna Belle GALEENER, Williamson County, Illinois This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Angela Place Marion Daily Republican, October 18, 1994 Anna Belle Galeener Anna Belle Galeener, 100, died at 7:30 am Oct. 15, 1994 at the Fountainview Nursing Home in Eldorado. She was a life long member of the State Street Christian Church where she was the oldest member. She had been very active in church activities. Born on Nov. 25, 1893, in Henderson Co., Ky., she was the daughter of Drucilla and Winfield Scott Overby. She married Martin Christy Galeener in Harrisburg on Dec 31, 1912. He died on Feb. 20, 1954. Survivors include: two sons, Percy Galeener of Summersville, W. Vir., and Glen and Erma Galeener of Lake of Egypt; eight grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Catherine Galeener and Francis Parmley; two granddaughters, two sisters, one son, and three brothers. As she requested, a private graveside service was held on Monday, Oct. 17, 1994, at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Harrisburg. The Rev. Howard Scott officiated.
