Obituary for Alonzo Boles, Williamson County, Illinois Marion Daily Republican, Thursday March 9, 1944 Death Claims Alonzo Boles Alonzo Boles, 813 E. main St. passed away Wednesday evening at 7:35, following several months of illness. Several days ago he fell and broke his arm receiving a severe nervous shock which was thought to have induced pneumonia from which he did not recover. He was born in Williamson county on Oct. 13, 1856 to James and Mary Lance Boles. In 1883 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Winters in Johnson County, who survives with one daughter and two sons. Mrs. Ada B. Ward, James T. and Clint Boles all of Marion. two sons and a daughter preceded him in death. he leaves also three granddaughters and three grandsons who are in service of their country. One sister lives in Anna and a brother in Missouri. He was a well known teamster and worked until only a few years ago. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted from the family residence, Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Noel M. Taylor officiating. Burial in the family plot at Rose Hill.
